Hello oh great and wonderful college football fans. Thank you for taking some time today to read through the latest rankings. First a quick summary from this weeks games…WOW. LSU (49) beat Florida (14) on the road on a late field goal. The Gators played behind all game long and just couldn’t turn things around. So they are now out of the Playoff (maybe even if they upset Alabama (1) next week). Arizona St (107) put a ho-hum 70-7 road hurt on Arizona (133) ending Sumlin’s coaching career for the Wildcats. Undefeated, and only 11-0 team, Coastal Carolina (4) was behind to Troy (76) with 1:20 to go (after being ahead by 12 with 3 minutes to go). A 5-play 75-yard in 40 seconds gave them the lead followed by a quick 4 and out and a kneel to keep the Cinderella season alive. UNC (18) invaded Miami FL (8) and squeaked by 62-26 with 554 yards RUSHING (778 overall)! Houston (74) scored 21 in the 4th to tie Memphis (41) before the Tigers drove the field and kicked a last second FG to win. Vanderbilt (128) made history in two ways. First, Sarah Fuller became the first woman in Power 5 history to score in a college football game going 2-2 in PAT attempts. Second, unless they upset Georgia (12) next week, they will suffer their first winless season ever. Virginia Tech (36) left no doubt when they took out rival Virginia (37) 33-15. Out West, Southern Cal (7) came from behind to beat cross-town rival UCLA (79) while BYU (13) moved to 10-1 after a slow start with San Diego St (70). Stanford (51) held off Oregon St (117) with a late FG to win. Lastly, in the GCR game of the week, Army (33) beat Navy (99) in a shutout (first since 1969) 15-0 in a game with 37 total passing yards (379 combined yards for both teams) and 15 punts (compared to 12 first downs).
…..
The biggest GCR upsets of the week were: at only 7.6% chance to win, Utah (62) gave Colorado (28) its first loss of the season 38-21. Interestingly the game was played at 10:00am local time. LSU had just a 19.4% chance of toppling Florida, but…. And Rutgers (103) was an 80.3% chance to lose team to Maryland (72), but pulled off the 27-24 OT win (FG as time expired to send it to OT too).
…..
Miami FL (8) has stuck in or near the top 4 all season with its only loss coming at Clemson (3). With the upset by UNC (18) they are still in the top 10 but out of the running for the playoff. Colorado was pushing the envelope trying to join, but Utah has their number (5 straight wins). The Sun Belt now has 2 teams in the top 10 as Louisiana (9) joins Coastal Carolina (4). They rematch next week in what will be an exciting conference final. Alabama (1) holds the top spot for the second week. Notre Dame (2) joins Clemson to fill out the top 4 and set up an incredible rematch for the ACC title. It’s a must win for Clemson if they want to make the playoffs.

…..
I haven’t talked about the perfectly imperfect teams this year at all, but we do have quite a few winless wonders. Here they are:
0-10: ULM (122) – season complete
0-9: Kansas (100) – season complete, and Vanderbilt (128) – at Georgia (12)
0-6: UNLV (135) and N Illinois (137) – both seasons complete
0-5: FIU (127), Arizona (133), and Bowling Green (142) – all seasons complete
0-4: UMASS (85 due to a .737 opponent’s winning percentage but they are truly one of the worst teams ever losing by a combined score of 161-12) – season complete
note: there are 8 FCS teams with a combined record of 0-25.

With no further ado, here is the full list from Alabama (1) to SEMO (144). Enjoy the lead in to championship week. Thank you for reading and always for sharing. G
