Welcome back, college sports fans, to episode 605. Before we get to the main theme, congratulations to the Miami OH Men’s Basketball team who just completed their regular season with a 110-108 OT win over Ohio to finish a perfect 31-0. They join a select group being just the 21st men’s team in the NCAA tournament era to accomplish the feat.

…..
It should be noted that the UCONN women are also undefeated this season, capping the 11th time they have accomplished that feat – 7 more times than the UCLA men did it.
…..
But this post is about the conference tourney games today. We are 8 days from selection Sunday and games are heating up. There are a few changes from yesterday’s format. First, the men and women are on separate tables for easier reference. We’ve also added additional information such as each team’s record (current at time of publishing) and our prediction. That prediction uses both the Score and RPIF metrics as of “now” assuming a neutral site (not all first-round games are neutral, but we are going with neutrality across the board as a convention). If both metrics pick the same team (i.e., both metrics are higher for the same team), we predict that team will win. If one metric favors Team “A” while the other favors Team “B”, we will simply post “NO PRED”. Think of those as “pick em” games. Let us know how you like this format and if it provides better information.
…..
First, the women’s conference tourney games today. Note: there are regular season games today that are not listed in this table. Tomorrow is the last day of regular season play for all conferences – tune in Monday for a special double issue for the Men’s Top 365 and the Women’s Top 363 prior to tournament play. The table is sorted by conference (alphabetical) and tipoff time (all times Eastern) within each conference. We have our first championship game in the Ohio Valley Conference. Both teams could make the NCAAs, but the winner today earns a guaranteed spot.
