Welcome back, college sports fans and congratulations to the UCONN Huskies for winning their 12th national title, this time over the South Carolina Gamecocks. UCONN spanked the defending champions by controlling the pace and rhythm of the game. Hats off to a great season including beating 3 1-seeds in the tournament. But today is about the men when Florida (35-4/2 with a GCR Score of 71.61) takes on Houston (35-4/3 with a Score of 71.28) at 8:50 tonight on CBS. Florida got here by winning the SEC tournament then beating Norfolk St, UCONN, Maryland, Texas Tech, and Auburn to make the final. Houston won the Big 12 tournament then took down SIUE, Gonzaga, Purdue, Tennessee, and Duke before taking on the Gators in a winner-take-all game in San Antonio. It should be a good one and very close – like last team to have the ball close. The GCR sees Florida taking the title 50.5% of the time although ESPN has Houston winning 65.4%. With the miss in the women’s final, the predicted games stand at 27-7 (.794).
