G’s Expectation or Who Wins the Frisco Bowl?

Welcome back, college football fans. What a game we had yesterday afternoon. Vegas had Old Dominion (6-7/99) as 5-point favorites over W Kentucky (8-5/75), but the GCR picked WKY in the upset. Imagine my disappointment when Old Dominion took a 28-0 lead with 13:38 in the first half. My despair was palpable, but I was at a client in beautiful, yet chilly, Toronto so I didn’t look again. With 8:14 in the half the Hilltoppers got on the board 28-7. Then again in the 3rd with 10:24 28-14. The Monarchs were having none of this so they scampered 21 yards to go up 35-14 going into the 4th. 3 TDs in the 4th tied it up and a field goal in OT brought the Hilltoppers home. Congratulations on a major comeback.

Tonight at 9:00 Eastern, we have the Frisco Bowl (outside of Dallas, not in California) with a solid matchup between UTSA (8-4/83) of the American and Marshall (6-6/100) of the Sun Belt. Reminder in the table that follows OER is Offensive Efficiency Rating and DER is Defensive Efficiency Rating. Let’s see how these teams measure up.

Vegas likes UTSA-7.5 and the GCR agrees. The Roadrunners beat the Thundering Herd and cover the spread.

That’s it for tonight. There’s no bowl on Wednesday, but the action continues on Thursday. Be safe out there and enjoy the game. Thank you for reading and sharing, G
