G’s Evaluation or The Final Top 363 for 2025-26!

Welcome back, college sports fans, for our first basketball post-tournaments’ day. Congratulations to the Michigan Wolverines who took down the UCONN Huskies, by a score of 69-63, for their 2nd title in school history. That, along with Indiana in football and UCLA in Women’s basketball gives the Big Ten the championship trifecta. Tune in tomorrow for the final Men’s Top 365 GCR.

Today we are focused on the final rank for the Women. UCLA took over the #1 spot during conference play, on February 9th, as their Strength of Schedule (SOS) was increasing and UCONN’s was falling. With just one loss, on November 26th, to eventual Final Four team Texas, their SOS was in the top 3 at one point before dropping to 6 by the end of the season (note: Duke had the most difficult schedule). They played 13 teams that were in the AP Top 25 prior to the NCAA Tournament. By comparison, UCONN played just 6. The Bruins were the best team this season proving that in a hard-fought revenge victory over Texas on Friday and destroying South Carolina on Sunday.
