Welcome back, college football fans, to episode 685 which starts Week 2. It’s Day 8 overall and a second game day in a row with a single game. The good news is that, except for the Ivy League which will kickoff their season next weekend, every team has played at least one game which means we don’t have to publish as many non-predictions. Caveat: the GCR and its predictions are for entertainment purposes only. We have a strict company (ok, JoJo and G) policy that we do not bet on any sports, especially at the collegiate level. That said, the GCR can only predict games in which both teams have played at least one game because we have no preseason bias. Each team earns their rating, good or bad. In fact, of 208 games played in Weeks 0 and 1, we were 18-10 (643) simply picking the winners in 28 eligible games and 14-12 (538) against the Vegas spread. This week we will have more opportunity to test our accuracy.

The single game today features an FCS team, the Florida A&M Rattlers (1-1/200) vs the Miami FL Hurricanes (1-0/1). FLAM took down non-division I Albany St 20-7 in Week 0 before dropping game two 31-13 to SC St (2-0/123) in the same stadium (neutral site) as tonight’s game (away game). This is the home opener for MIAF who dropped Stanford 45-6 last Friday. Vegas has very long odds for this game with the Hurricanes -57.5. The GCR concurs with Miami FL winning and covering the spread. Tune in on the ACC Network at 8:00 Eastern. Here is the summary.
