Welcome back, college sports fans to our latest episode (#628). Yesterday we had buzzer beaters (Duke over LSU), near upsets (Duke edging St Johns), actual upsets (Notre Dame over Vanderbilt), and the occasional blowout (UCONN over North Carolina). We now have 24 Women’s teams left (12 in the NCAA, 4 in the WBIT, and 8 in the NIT) along with 20 Men’s teams (8 in the NCAA, 4 in the NIT, and 8 in the not-yet-started CBC). Those 44 teams have 38 games to play before the six champions are crowned.

Yesterday the GCR was a combined 7-3 (.700) picking the winner bringing our postseason total to 370-164 (.694).

Today, we only have 6 games: the second half of the Women’s Sweet 16 featuring two 1-seeds playing conference foes (Texas/Kentucky and South Carolina/Oklahoma), Cinderella Virginia (10 seed) taking on TCU (3 seed), and Michigan/Louisville to start us off; and the first half of the Men’s Elite 8 featuring what could be the best game yet Arizona/Purdue along with Cinderella Iowa (9 seed) and Illinois (3 seed) in a Big Ten only matchup.

For the Women, the GCR was 5-2 (.714) raising the total to 186-76 (.710). Here are today’s Sweet 16 games. We missed Notre Dame over Vanderbilt and Illinois St over Abilene Chr. We did not predict the Duke/LSU game.
