G’s Expectation or More Madness Coming!

Welcome back, college sports fans, to the games of March 26, 2026. After a couple of pretty slow days (seven games total), we have 11 on the slate today. Overall, there are just 61 college basketball games left before we crown our six champions, so 11 is a pretty good percentage of those left. Predictions yesterday for all games was 1-1 (.500) for a total of 356-157 (.694).

…..

In the tables below, the Conf and Seeds columns are listed in the same order as the Games column (i.e., the first seed listed is for the first team listed in Games). In the seeds column, “U” indicates unseeded (all teams in the Women’s NIT). The GCR has two predictive metrics that do not always agree. Today, all 11 games have that agreement, so we are listing a winner in all of them.

…..

The GCR was a perfect 1-0 in the only Women’s game yesterday as Army took down La Salle in the NIT. Our prediction record for the post-season is now a healthy 176-72 (.710). The NIT games listed as Round 3 are the Sweet 16 for that tournament. The quarterfinal listed in the WBIT games are the Elite 8 for that tournament. NCAA games return for their Sweet 16 tomorrow. With just 39 teams left (36 games) today, we will start tomorrow with just 32 teams. Seven more will lose and go home. The pressure is intensifying.

…..

The Men had two games yesterday, but the Auburn/Nevada game was a non-predicted game. The GCR incorrectly picked Dayton to beat Illinois St, but the Redbirds got the upset. That 0-1 record brought the men to 180-85 (.679) for the postseason. There are 28 teams (25 games) left starting today and that number will drop to 24 after today. Will the Madness continue today? More than likely, but the GCR is picking the favorites in every game.
